Preparing for Your Adoption

We are so excited for you and the potential of welcoming a new baby to your household! Here are a few things to note -

  • Come prepared to bring your new baby home with you after your meet and greet as we do not offer holds and there is no guarantee the one you are interested in will be available at a later date.

  • A max number of 5 people are allowed during your meet and greet, if you are wanting more than 5 people to attend, please alert your Adoptions Team in advance.

  • While children are welcome to attend, please understand that they must remain seated during the meet and greet and will not be allowed to pick up a puppy without the help of an adult. Children must be well mannered, respectful and gentle towards the animals as they are small and can easily be hurt. We reserve the right to ask you to leave and reschedule without your children if these guidelines are not followed.

  • As a foster-based rescue with no facility, meet and greets are hosted in the personal homes of our Team Members, please remain respectful of their homes.

  • Timeliness is of utter importance and meet and greets are typically scheduled back to back. Please plan to be on time and alert us ASAP in any delays. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we will need to reschedule and cannot guarantee the animal you are interested in will still be available at a later date. No call, no shows will not be eligible to adopt from us in the future.

  • We reserve the right at any time to ask you to leave.

  • Weather pending, we can facilitate a meet and greet with your existing doggy family members outside.

We ask that when you arrive for your meet and greet that you leave them in the car and come inside to meet the puppy first.

If all goes well, you can leash your dog and our adoptions team can help facilitate a safe introduction outside.

  • We accept payments through our online payment portal, where you can use any valid credit or debit card. Unfortunately we do not accept cash, check, Venmo, Cashapp, Paypal, etc.

  • Your new baby will get sent home with a small goodie bag that includes a sample of the food they are currently on, a collar and leash and a few of their favorite toys. All medical records will be sent virtually via email after the completion of your adoption.

  • Before bringing your new pet home, we recommend having the following supplies ready -

    • Bed: A soft, comfortable bed where your puppy can rest.

    • Crate: A crate for transport and a safe space for your puppy when you're not home.

    • Leash and Harness: Essential for walking and exercising your puppy.

    • Food and Water Bowls: Make sure your puppy has fresh food and water available at all times.

    • Toys and Chew Items: Puppies love to chew, so having appropriate toys will help them stay entertained and keep their teeth healthy.

    • Training Pads: If you're still in the process of potty training, these can help during the transition.

  • All of our puppies/dogs come spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate core vaccinations (rabies, DHPP, bordatella), microchipped with a lifetime registration, dewormed, and current on their monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

  • All of our animals are on Purina Pro Plan unless otherwise stated. Our puppies are fed 3 times a day in foster care and our adult dogs are fed 2 times a day. Feeding guidelines ca be found on the side of their bag of food. They have 24/7 access to fresh water.

  • Their medical records will be emailed over to you within 24 hours of your adoption. If you are receiving your animal on transport, you will receive them within 24 hours of them arriving to you on transport.

  • We recommend that you schedule a well visit with your vet within the first two weeks of bringing your new baby home.

  • We understand that circumstances can change. If you decide to change your mind prior to your in-person meet-and-greet, please notify us as soon as possible. For in-person meet-and-greets, the adoption is typically finalized, and you can take the animal home with you immediately. If you’re opting for a virtual meet-and-greet and decide it’s not the right fit, please let us know before the animal has been placed on the transport van. If the adoption isn't working out after you’ve taken the pet home, please contact us right away so we can discuss next steps, such as returning the pet to our care or finding another solution. Our priority is to ensure that both you and your new pet are happy and healthy.

Under no circumstances are you allowed to rehome your pet or surrender it to a rescue or shelter. We will always take our animals back and you will be signing a contract ensuring that we will be your first call if something does not work out.

  • Our adoption and transport (if applicable) fees are non-refundable. However, if an adoption does not work out and you need to return the pet, we’ll gladly work with you to find a new solution for both you and the animal. We encourage adopters to be sure they’re ready for the responsibility before adopting, but we’re committed to helping you and the pet find the best outcome.

  • We take the health and well-being of all our animals very seriously, especially during transport. All pets traveling with our transport partners are examined by a licensed veterinarian within 7 days of departure to ensure they are healthy and ready for the journey. Our transport partners are experienced in safely handling pets and maintaining a comfortable environment throughout the trip. You’ll be notified of your pet's transport schedule, and we’ll provide updates to keep you informed of their safe arrival.
